Military Family Members to Receive Psychiatric Help Closer to HomeBelmont Pines Hospital welcomes patients under the TRICARE insurance program YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - (Nov. 12, 2009) - Military family members in Northeast Ohio and Western Pennsylvania under the TRICARE insurance plan now have an option closer to home at Belmont Pines Hospital, a freestanding behavioral health hospital for children and adolescents. Belmont Pines, a Psychiatric Solutions, Inc. (PSI) facility, is the only TRICARE certified residential treatment center (RTC) for children and adolescents in the state of Ohio, as well as the closest RTC for children and adolescents for several other northeastern states. The program will be under the clinical supervision of Phillip Maiden, M.D., board certified in child and adolescent psychiatry. The curriculum at Belmont Pines consists of a Master Treatment Plan that is tailored to focus on the identified behavioral challenges of each individual patient. The program is supported by a system that provides the patient with the social skills and emotional stability necessary to be reintegrated into family and community. In addition, patients are active in a variety of therapy sessions, including individual, group and family therapy sessions, administered by licensed clinical professionals. Topics covered include conflict resolution, relationship skills, anger management and understanding feelings. “We, the staff at Belmont Pines, understand the changing dynamic of the ‘military family,’ and we are proud to open our doors to these individuals,” said George Perry, chief executive officer at Belmont Pines Hospital. “By expanding our insurance eligibility to include TRICARE beneficiaries, Belmont Pines can provide essential behavioral healthcare to a large population of children and adolescents in this part of the country.”
