Poplar Springs Hospital is committed to providing a stigma-free treatment environment specifically designed to meet the needs of the active duty military. Our inpatient mental health unit provides treatment for the emotional and psychological effects of combat theater stress and post-deployment adjustment-related issues. Soldiers may step down to our partial hospitalization program to assist with transitioning back to their duty stations.

Treatment program uses cognitive behavioral therapeutic approaches and guidelines from the Department of Veteran Affairs and Department of Defense for PTSD treatment.

Intensive treatment modalities include: individual, group and family therapies, substance abuse education and treatment, activity therapies, nursing education and psychiatric assessments and evaluations by a psychiatrist.
