Key Features
The goal of the Military program offered by Peak Behavioral Health Services is to meet the needs of the soldier/patient, as required by their Command Program. Personal values, integrity and resiliency are promoted in all activities provided by the Peak.
The 28-day program is designed for the recovery of drug and alcohol abuse. Each patient is required to attend and participate in all groups, activities, individual sessions and onsite 12-step meetings. Group sessions address substance abuse/dependency and introduce the recovery process. Positive coping skills, substance abuse education, and relapse prevention are included in group topics. Individual session of EMDR is offered to address post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Adjunctive therapies are implemented daily; these include the ROPES Course and daily exercise with a skilled trainer. These activities offer healthy support during the healing process and provide a safe environment for team building within the group.
