Trauma Tack Program
Montevista created this program to provide quality treatment and education in the area of trauma. We are committed to serving this Nation’s warriors with excellent care in trauma treatment (PTSD). Our treatment team works closely with referral sources to assure continuity of care and effective transition into the community.

Program Philosophy & Treatment
Montevista’s Trauma Track Program includes acute inpatient, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient programs and support group services. The program utilizes a multidisciplinary focus to ensure an integrated approach that facilitates increased ego strength, stabilization and growth.

Symptoms Treated
The Trauma Track Program treats all polydiagnostic disorders related to unresolved trauma. This would include, but is not limited to: post-traumatic stress disorder, acute stress disorder, depression and substance abuse. If a patient is actively using drugs or alcohol, cross programming is available on the Dual Diagnosis Program. This provides an integrated effort to address not only the active addiction, but the underlying dynamics driving the addictive behaviors.

Treatment Team
The treatment team is composed of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, licensed professional counselors, activity therapists, group therapists, nurses, interns and psychiatric technicians. The Montevista team works closely with referral sources to insure continuity of care and to formulate efficient treatment recommendations.

Key Features

Trauma Tack Program includes:

Acute Inpatient
The acute level of care is most appropriate for people with severe mental illness, detoxification from drugs or alcohol or who represent a threat to themselves or others. Treatment includes 24-hour nursing and psychiatric care, participation in group and individual therapies focused on resolving the crisis.

Partial Hospitalization
When structured therapy is required but not 24-hour supervision, partial hospitalization or “Day Hospital” is available. Patients live in their own homes and communities, and come to our facilities during the day to participate in group therapies and activities. The Montevista system includes day hospital programs for children, adolescents and adults with substance abuse problems and mental health issues.

Intensive Outpatient
Montevista’s Trauma Track Program includes morning and evening programs for substance abuse recovery. These programs meet four days per week and consist of cognitive/behavioral interventions and psycho education with an addiction specialist that focuses on successful solutions to current problems.
